Utilizing a network of innovation experts, we utilize a direct, hands-on, approach to business model innovations that are enabled by technology solutions. We focus on both the innovation front-end and implementation back-end of new or pivoted business models for our clients.
Wayne Montague
Founder and CEO
Wayne Montague is a Chicago-based innovation expert with over twenty years of experience leading product and service innovations serving firms ranging from start-ups to the Fortune 500. He has experience across a number of industries including financial services, technology, manufacturing, transportation, retail/foodservice, healthcare, and environmental services.
In 2007, Wayne established Castletown Innovations, a consulting firm focused on helping clients to maximize the business outcomes of innovative ideas by pivoting to new, or vastly improved, business models. He then transfers knowledge by leading the enabling technology solutions through deployment. He has served a variety of companies including, Samsung Electronics, McDonald’s, Cardinal Health, The Brickman Group, DeVry Education Group, and Electro-Motive Diesel. For the Brickman Group, Wayne led the technology design and implementation for a large-scale national environmental services start-up that managed over 15,000 commercial properties. He led the enterprise mobility solutions for thousands of field-based team members. Prior to Castletown Innovations, Wayne was a member of the innovation leadership team with McDonald’s Corporation. He was a founding member of the McDonald’s Innovation Center, a worldwide hub for product and process innovations deployed in McDonald’s 33,000 restaurants across 120 countries. He led the IT Engineering, Operations Research, and Operations Design groups. He began his career with Accenture, leading a number of large scale systems integration, change management, and enterprise software development projects.
Wayne holds an MS in Information Technology from Northwestern University, an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University, and a BS from the University of Massachusetts. He is an adjunct faculty member, teaching a course on IT Innovation, at the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University. He also teaches an innovation implementation course at CEDIM-Mexico. He also holds a CPA and Six Sigma Green Belt and serves on the EECS Industry Advisory Board for Northwestern University.
